Governor Andrew Cuomo says New York is definitely in the reopening phase now, having finished the first part of the coronavirus crisis that dealt with controlling the infection. Now the governor says the Lower Hudson Valley and Long Island are close to meeting the standards for reopening, although not yet New York City.
Cuomo says all pro sports leagues can open their training camps, and should plan on coming back but without fans in the seats. He also says veterinary practices around the state can reopen Tuesday.
The governor says we're now in the reopening chapter of the coronavirus story, which he hopes will be followed by rebuilding the state's economy as chapter three.
