Local Officials Urging People to Socially Distance During Holiday Weekend

Rochester police say ticketing or jailing people for social distancing violations during the holiday weekend will be a last resort.

Police chief La'Ron Singletary wants citizens to be smart -- and he says the mission of the police department is to help educate.

Citizens in big groups will get information about social distancing and wearing masks.

Singletary says police are planning high visibility patrols at Charlotte and Durand beaches, and other places.
