COVID-19 Cases Up, Cause is More Testing

Monroe County Health Director Dr. Michael Mendoza says an increase in positive COVID-19 tests and hospitalizations is because more people are being tested. He said the work of the new contact tracers and the governor's order to test nursing home employees twice a week are bumping up the numbers.

The Rochester region must stay under an average of 15 new hospitalizations per day to meet the state's reopening benchmarks.

Mendoza says we need to continue to remain vigilant and continue social distancing.
