NYS Nursing Homes Question Cuomo's New Testing Mandates

Nursing homes across the state are raising questions about Governor Cuomo's new testing mandate.

He wants nursing home employees to be tested twice a week for coronavirus.

But, some nursing homes are wondering if such screening will be possible and want to know who will cover the cost.

Governor Cuomo says the state will help nursing homes get the supplies they need and that employees won't be charged for the tests.

Roughly 20% of the state's coronavirus-related deaths have been in nursing homes or adult-care facilities.
