City Council Votes To Approve Greenlight Networks, Remove THC Testing

The Rochester City Council has voted to remove testing for the active ingredient in marijuana as a condition of employment for a city job.

The ordinance takes effect immediately but does not apply to public safety jobs.

The Council also approved the master license agreement with internet provider Greenlight Networks. The company will get rights of way to install its fiber optic network in the city and can extend the network into low-income neighborhoods in lieu of fee payments to the city.
