Gov. Cuomo: Evictions Not Allowed Until August

Governor Cuomo has extended an executive order that will continue to provide some relief to renters.

A moratorium on evictions will now last until at least August 20th.

That means tenants who can't afford to pay their rent aren't in danger of losing their place to live until then.

Many renters have been struggling with their bills due to the economic hardships caused by the coronavirus crisis.

The governor's order also protects renters from late fees and allows them to pay rent with their security deposits.
