City of Rochester Hires Former SUNY Brockport Chief Diversity Officer

The former chief diversity officer at SUNY Brockport has been hired by the City of Rochester.

Cephas Archie will work in the city's Department of Human Resources.

His dismissal by SUNY Brockport in January triggered student protests, and scrutiny of the school by SUNY higher-ups.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren was critical of Archie's firing and wrote a letter to the SUNY Chancellor expressing her concerns.
