Fake Coronavirus Test Kits Seized in Rochester

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents have seized hundreds of fake coronavirus test kits at the Rochester airport over the past two months.

Officers say the most recent case was Tuesday when they came across 25 COVID-19 test kits in a shipment of air freight. They pulled a package for further inspection and found the kits were not FDA approved.

Since March, customs officers have seized more than 600 non-approved test kits for violating the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
