State Assemblyman Steve Hawley wants the State Department of Health to look into the COVID-19 deaths at a nursing home in Albion
All 14 deaths in Orleans County are connected to that nursing home -- The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Hawley says in a letter to the health commissioner that he has heard reports the staff is depleted and demoralized, that rooms are not being property sanitized, and that some protocols are only followed when an inspection is scheduled.
He is asking for an unannounced inspection.
