New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state has now tested 15,000 people for COVID-19 antibodies, finding the statewide infection rate is just over 12 percent of the population. That's down from more than 14 percent in the first round of testing. Cuomo says that's a good sign.
The governor also says as of today, hospitals are being required to gather demographic information on new patients who come in with COVID-19 symptoms. The state says nearly 900 people are still coming down with the coronavirus every day. Governor Cuomo says the state wants to know where and how those people are being infected so they can more to fight it. Hospitals will be asking more detailed information on where people live, how they travel and if they work in a front-line job or are staying at home.
