There's no word so far what caused the big fire overnight at a two-story building on Monroe Avenue.
The fire -- a couple blocks east of Goodman -- was reported around 2 a.m. and went to four alarms.
The building has three storefronts on the first floor and four apartments on the second.
Five people and two dogs were rescued from the second floor.
No one was hurt.
It took more than three hours to bring the fire under control.
