Rochester Housing Authority Offering Rent Relief for Tenants

The Rochester Housing Authority is offering rent relief for tenants whose income has been affected by the pandemic.

People living in public housing or getting rental assistance from the RHA can apply to have their rent payments temporarily reduced by up to 100 percent.

Residents have to request a hardship interim re-certification. Replacement income, such as unemployment benefits, may be considered when determining household rent responsibility on a case-by-case basis.
