The Ontario County Health Department says it doesn't believe there was a significant public risk from a coronavirus patient who walked through the Canandaigua Walmart on April 3rd.
Officials say there was no close contact with others, so the event is considered low risk. But Health Director Mary Beer says it's a reminder to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask in public and frequently washing your hands. The coronavirus can be spread by people who don't have the symptoms yet. She says you should assume the virus is everywhere you go.
