President Trump is lashing out after some harsh criticism from Governor Cuomo.
Cuomo told MSNBC that Trump "basically declared himself King Trump" by insisting that he has total authority over states in the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Trump tweeted that Cuomo has been "calling daily, even hourly, begging for everything, most of which should have been the state's responsibility."
He argued that he "got it all done" for Cuomo "and everyone else, and now he seems to want Independence!" Trump insisted, "That won't happen!"
Many other governors and constitutional scholars also reject Trump's claim of total authority over states. Trump is anxious to start lifting restrictions so people can get back to work as soon as possible, possibly as early as May 1st.
