Monroe County health officials say a contract staff member at the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now in isolation.
Authorities say the staff member developed symptoms more than a day after working his or her last shift.
None of the youth housed at the facility, nor any of the other staff, are exhibiting signs of infection.
One staff member is under precautionary quarantine.
The center is doing increased health screenings for the youth and has notified all families.
