Senator Chuck Schumer thinks there should be hazard pay for federal workers on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus.
He told MSNBC that many of the federal employees do not have protective masks and gloves.
He says President Trump should appoint a coronavirus czar to oversee the federal distribution of critical medical equipment across the U.S.
Schumer called the outbreak a huge crisis and a big job and said government officials must step up efforts to "tackle both."
