The area hospital systems expanding their ability to test for the coronavirus.
The new testing platform is already in use at UR Medicine and will soon be added at Rochester Regional Health.
That means more testing could be done every day, with faster results.
For now, testing will remain limited to ill patients and the health care workers who are exposed to them.
