All Escape From Dewey Ave. Fire

Fire struck a mixed use commercial and apartment building on Dewey Avenue early this morning, but everyone got out safely and nobody was hurt.

The Rochester Fire Department says police were responding to an incident at the building when they noticed an upstairs apartment was on fire. Firefighters were there in two minutes, by which time flames were coming out of the second floor windows. Damage was limited to one apartment and the convenience store on the first floor suffered water damage.
