The top Republican in the state Senate -- Minority Leader John Flanagan -- says he will not be running for another term in the Senate.
Flanagan has spent more than three decades in the Legislature.
He says his decision to step aside is in the best interests of his family.
Several other Republican State senators have also announced they're not running for another term.
