Senator Schumer says the coronovirus stimulus bill includes more than $40 billion dollars for the state and its citizens.
That includes at least $15 billion to the state for extended and expanded unemployment benefits. Another $15 billion will fund direct payments to households.
The Monroe County government will be getting $128 million to stabilize its budget.
The bill also includes direct money for hospitals and higher Medicare payments to providers.
There's also money and loan relief for small businesses and non profits.
