Monroe County has its first confirmed case of COVID-19 in a person who traveled to a high-risk area.
County Executive Adam Bello says the person is under mandatory quarantine at home and is recovering.
Officials say the person is not one of the students in quarantine at SUNY Brockport, and the infection is not the result of local transmission.
Bello and Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza say the risk of infection remains low in Monroe County.
They plan to say more at a 9 a.m. news conference.
