Students Under Quarantine In Brockport Pose No Risk To Public

Authorities are trying to reassure residents of the Brockport area that the 31 SUNY students now under quarantine do not pose a risk to the community.

Monroe County Public Health Director Dr. Michael Mendoza says the students aren't showing any signs of the coronavirus.

The students had been studying abroad in three coronavirus hotspots -- Italy, Japan and South Korea.

There are 14 other people in the county under voluntary quarantine, and six under involuntary quarantine.

Mendoza and other officials spoke last night at a town hall meeting in Brockport.
