Mental Competence Questioned In Trial Of Man Who Stabbed RPD In Eye

There could be more testimony today about the fitness for trial of the man charged in the October attack on Rochester police Officer Denny Wright.

Spectrum News reports a psychologist will testify at a hearing about the mental competence of defendant Keith Williams.

Williams frequently interrupted a hearing last month.

But a forensic psychiatrist testified that Williams is competent, and explained how she can tell when a person is faking mental illness.

Williams is charged with aggravated attempted murder and assault.
