Legislation pending in the state legislature would allow the sale of ice cream and other frozen desserts made with alcohol.
The alcohol content in the ice cream could not exceed five percent.
Supporters of the bill say it will give a boost to the dairy and craft beverage businesses in the state.
The state Senate approved the bill yesterday and sent it to the state Assembly.
