Date Pushed Back For Collins To Start Prison Sentence

Former Republican Congressman Chris Collins is going to be a free man for a few more weeks.

He was supposed to report to federal prison on March 17th, but that date has been pushed back until April 21st at the request of his lawyers.

According to The Buffalo News, the Federal Bureau of Prisons still deciding where Collins will serve his 26 month sentence.

Collins resigned from Congress last year after pleading guilty to federal insider trading charges.

A special election to fill the seat is being held April 28th.
