Monroe County Prepares For Possible Coronavirus Outbreak

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is discussing the steps the county is taking to prepare for a possible local outbreak of Coronavirus.

Right now, though, he says the risk in our area is low.

County Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza says the department of health is working to gather as much information as possible.

Fever, cough and shortness of breath are the main symptoms of the coronavirus.

Bello is working with department heads and community agencies to review and evaluate existing resources, identify prudent preparatory actions and make sure procedures are in place to protect citizens.
