Manslaughter Charges Against Dealers Who Sold Drugs to Overdose Victims

A 23-year-old Brockport woman has been charged with manslaughter for selling drugs that led to the overdose death of a man in Brockport last fall.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says the charges filed against Kelsey Sponaugle include manslaughter, selling illegal drugs and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges resulted from an investigation by the Monroe County Heroin Task Force and Brockport Police. Tyler Ward died of those drugs in September of 2019.

Similar charges were also filed today against 41-year-old Gary Grishaber, Jr for selling drugs that led to the overdose death of July Margolycz (MAR go LITZ) in January iof 2019. Grishaber is also charged with manslaughter and with selling drugs.
