Man Indicted In Stabbing Of Rochester Police Officer

A Monroe County grand jury has indicted a man accused of stabbing a Rochester Police Officer.

Jamal Dima is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and two counts of criminal mischief.

Dima was arrested last month after police say he stabbed officer Brian Cala in the face with a knife.

Cala had been responding to a report of a possibly disturbed man on Glendale Park.

During the incident, Cala fired five rounds, one of which struck Dima in the wrist.
