NYC Women Charged With Using Counterfeit Money In Geneseo

Two women from New York City are facing charges for allegedly using counterfeit money at several locations in the Genesee Valley Plaza in Geneseo.

The Livingston Co. Sheriff’s Office says Courtney Reed and Denise Gonzalez are accused of passing counterfeit 100 dollar bills at five different stores in the plaza.

The two were located by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office who were investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint at a gas station in Pittsford last week.

Both women were each charged with five counts of felony criminal possession of a forged instrument as well as felony conspiracy and petit larceny.
