A Miami man is facing charges after authorities say he stole a car in South Carolina and was caught in Victor.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s office says Javoy Gaines was found sleeping in the 2014 Honda Accord behind the Home Depot over the weekend.
Authorities learned the vehicle had been reported stolen February 2nd.
Gaines was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and released on his own recognizance.
After he was released, authorities say Gaines went to Geneva and stole another vehicle.
That car was later recovered in Ithaca, around the same time authorities say another car was reported stolen there.
