Brighton Crash Case Goes to Grand Jury

The woman charged in connection with a fatal crash the day before Thanksgiving on Edgewood Avenue in Brighton was in court Wednesday.

Twenty-year-old Ninoshka Vazquez-Ruiz pleaded NOT guilty to criminally negligent homicide for the deaths of a nine-year-old girl and her baby-sitter. Police say she was driving 63 mph in a 30 mph zone, failed to keep right and did not have a license.

The case has been waived to a grand jury.
