Controversy Continues For Fired Brockport Diversity Officer

There is more controversy over the firing of SUNY Brockport's Chief Diversity Officer -- Cephas Archie.

His lawyer, Andrew Burns, tells 13WHAM he believes the police chief at SUNY Brockport was trying to dig up dirt on Archie by contacting a former co-worker of Archie's at Houston Community College.

SUNY Brockport says in a statement the president's office recently received an anonymous voicemail, and shared that with the police chief for his records.

The statement goes on to say "the inquiry should not have occurred. The President has ordered the chief to cease this inquiry."

The campus has never said why Cephas was fired -- calling it a confidential personnel matter.
