Monroe County Republicans designated their slate of candidates for the 2020 elections yesterday...naming Monroe County Legislator Karla Boyce as their candidate for County Clerk against Democrat Jamie Romeo. They also named Elena Cariola as their candidate for Surrogate Court Judge, Derek Harnsberger to run for County Court Judge, George Mitris to run for Congress in the 25th District and Chris Jacobs to run in the 27th District.
For State Legislature they named Pam Helming to run for re-election in the 54th District, Christopher Missick to run in th 55th Mike Barry for the 56th and Patrick Gallivan to seek re-election in the 59th. State Senator Robert Ortt was named to run for re-election in the 62nd district. He had considered running for Congress, but withdrew in favor of Chris Jacobs.
