SUNY Chancellor To Visit Brockport After Diversity Concerns

SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson says she's aware of the current racial climate at SUNY Brockport and says in a letter to Mayor Warren she will visit the campus soon.

Warren had written to express her concern about the firing of Brockport's Chief Diversity Officer, Cephas Archie.

Johnson said to Warren, "it is disheartening to learn that you feel our students, faculty and staff of color do not feel welcome," and Johnson said her committment to diversity is unwavering.

Brockport is bringing in a new Chief Diversity Officer from the SUNY System...and says it will completely revamp its bias-reporting system.

Student protesters want Archie reinstated.
