A statement from Governor Andrew Cuomo's office says the governor and President Trump will follow up next week on a meeting intended to get New York back into the Trusted Traveler Program.
The governor says Immigration and Customs Enforcement blocked New Yorkers from registering or renewing in the program for political reasons. That's after New York's Green Light Law blocked sharing of state DMV records with ICE agents.
Cuomo and the president met on the issue today and said he's willing to allow federal officials access to DMV records only for individuals applying to the Trusted Traveler Program.
