Ortt Drops Out Of NY27 Race

NYS Senator Rob Ortt is reportedly dropping out of the race for the 27th Congressional District.

Several news outlets in Buffalo are reporting the news.

Ortt will reportedy run for re-election in the State Senate.

State Senator Chris Jacobs is the endorsed Republican candidate for the April special election.

The primary for a full term will come about seven weeks later.

The Democrat in the race is Nate McMurray, who ran for the seat in 2018.

The winner in the special election will succeed former Congressman Chris Collins.
