Gov. Cuomo to Meet with President Trump Regarding Trusted Traveler Program

Governor Cuomo's office says the state will allow federal authorities to access DMV databases to check on New Yorkers applying for the Trusted Traveler Program.

The program allows speedy re-entry to the U.S. at the border.

The access would only be used to verify applicants to the program and NOT for immigration enforcement.

Homeland Security suspended the applications last week because the state's so-called Green Light Law prohibited it from accessing the database. That law allows illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses.

Cuomo said in a radio interview this morning he'll meet with President Trump tomorrow to discuss the issue.
