Rochester School Bus Driver Arrested for Alleged Assault

A Rochester school bus driver has been arrested for an alleged assault on a 9-year-old girl.

It happened January 7th. After the girl arrived at School 52, she reported she was assaulted by her bus driver, and she was later diagnosed with a concussion.

Jennifer Denegal, of Rochester, is charged with third degree assault.

The bus contractor -- First Student -- said after the investigation began that she was removed from the route.

Her court date is February 5.

The girl's family told News10NBC the driver yelled to noisy students to "shut up". When the girl made a face, the driver shoved her. She fell and hit her head.
