NY Lawmakers Considering Move to Lower Legal Limit for Drunk Driving

There is a move to lower the legal limit for drunk driving in New York.

An Assemblyman and a State Senator -- both from downstate -- want to lower the legal blood alcohol level from .08 to .05. They say it will save lives.

Typically, about two drinks for most women -- and two or three for most men -- will get a person to a .05 blood-alcohol level.

The bill hasn’t been scheduled for a vote.
