NY Health Officials Monitoring the Coronavirus

Health officials in New York say they're keeping close watch on the coronavirus, but they say the flu is a bigger worry.

Governor Cuomo says coronavirus precautions are being taken, but he adds it's much more likely that someone is exposed to influenza.

To date, there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus in New York. A total of 11 people in the state have been tested for the deadly virus. Seven of those tests have come back negative, and results for the other four are pending

Experts say washing your hands with warm and soapy water is the best defense against the virus, while avoiding contact with your eyes and mouth.
