Rochester and Brighton police have arrested a Brighton man on charges of attempted second degree murder and of assault after he allegedly shot a Rochester woman on Saturday.
Police say the 35-year-old victim was shot in the upper body at 199 Lewis Street, and she’s in critical but stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Police charged 34-year-old Anthony Battiste Jr with pulling the trigger. The shooting apparently took place during a burglary. He’ll be arraigned in City Court on Monday morning.
