The flu virus is continuing to spread across New York and the number of confirmed cases of the virus is rising.
According to the Department of Health, over 11,000 people battled the illness during the week ending January 11th. That's a ten percent increase from the week before.
One bit of good news is the number of patients hospitalized by the flu was down 11 percent. Doctors are still urging anyone who hasn't received their flu shot to do so immediately.
