A state trooper has been assigned to desk duty while his superiors investigate allegations he roughed up a man in Farmington.
It happened Saturday when the trooper was checking on a couple arguing at a bus stop at the Tops Plaza.
The trooper is seen on video appearing to grab the man involved.
Major Eric Laughton has launched an internal investigation.
No one was charged with anything.
The man involved tells Spectrum News he plans to formal complaint. He said he doesn't want the trooper to lose his job, but he wants an apology.
