Man Arrested, Ticketed Then Released After Making Two Threats

Police say a Fairport man was arrested twice yesterday afternoon -- first for threatening someone with a loaded shotgun, then for making a text message threat.

Fairport police say Nicholas Jordan made the shotgun threat around 12:30 at a home in Fairport. He was released on an appearance ticket under the state's new bail reform law.

About two hours after his release, police say he made the text message threat to the same victim -- a person living in Macedon. That led to a precautionary lock down at the nearby Gananda schools.
