A man already in prison for the murder of his son in Seneca County is scheduled to go on trial this week in California for the 1991 murder his wife.
Karl Karlsen is accused of setting a house fire that killed Christina Karlsen to collect on a $200,000 life insurance policy.
The charges were filed after Karlsen admitted that he staged an accident in 2008 to kill his son -- Levi -- and collect on a life insurance policy that was taken out days earlier.
Karlsen is serving 28 years to life for killing Levi.
