The news about the spread of the flu in New York just keeps getting worse.
According to the Department of Health, there were 9,200 confirmed cases of the virus during the week ending December 28th.
That's a 74% increase over the agency's previous flu surveillance report.
Nearly 1,400 people were hospitalized due to complications from the virus -- and that's a nearly 120% spike from the week before.
