Changes Could be Coming to NYS Bail Reform Law

There may be changes to the bail reform law that took effect last week in New York State.

State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins said Saturday that she thinks there needs to be a new look at it. She mentioned that she's concerned about hate crimes. Some charged with anti-Semitic hate crimes have been released without bail under the new law.

Meanwhile, State Attorney General Letitia James said she also thinks there should be changes to the bail reform law.
