There is more bad news about the spread of the flu.
The state health department says there were more than 5,300 confirmed cases during the week ending December 21st.
That's an increase of 62 percent from the week before.
More than 500 people have been hospitalized due to complications from the virus.
Doctors are still urging you to get a flu shot as soon as possible.
