A day after she was sentenced to 25 years in prison on federal child porn charges, Bonnie Hughes has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison after pleading guilty to commission of a criminal sexual act.
The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says this sentence will run at the same time as her federal sentence. After her release, the 35-year-old woman will have to register as a sex offender.
Hughes' co-defendant, Patrick Kohlmeier, was also sentenced earlier this fall to 25 years in federal prison and 18 years in state prison. The incident involved production of child porn and a sexual encounter with a minor child.
