Dade: Delaying Cuts Could Cost RCSD More

Rochester School Superintendent Terry Dade says the district can't afford to wait to make budget cuts.

He told the school board last night that postponing the cuts will cost the district more money it doesn't have.

Some board members want to postpone teacher layoffs until the end of January to give state lawmakers time to consider a $40 million bailout.

A board vote on the proposed cuts is set for Thursday.
